We offer both online and face-to-face tutoring options for secondary school students (Years 6 to 12).

An online hub where you can access your tutor’s details, invoices, payments and a calendar to view upcoming lessons. Upon commencement of tutoring services at K+ tutoring, an account will be opened for you.

Online tutoring can be a great option for parents looking for a flexible, cost-effective, and comfortable learning experience for their children.
With online tutoring, parents and students have greater scheduling and location flexibility, a wider range of qualified tutors to choose from, and access to interactive tools that can enhance the learning experience.
Additionally, students can learn in a familiar and comfortable environment, and online tutoring can be a more affordable option compared to in-person tutoring.

As students progress through sessions, they will gradually get access to a database of relevant, exclusive tutoring resources, tailored to their specific improvement areas and learning goals.

Customised Tutoring Sessions

Your tutoring sessions will be customised based on your interests, areas of improvement, strengths, study goals and learning style, with the aim to transform your mindset, work ethic and achievement.

Strong Focus on Developing 21st-Century Skills

Throughout the sessions, there will be a focus on developing 21st-century skills, including, critical and creative thinking, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, personal and social skills, and ICT skills.

Our extra, exclusive and engaging tutoring resources align with the most recent version of the Australian curriculum, and can be tailored to specific content descriptors, general capabilities and cross-curricular priorities.

How it Works?

Phase 1

Book a free, no-obligation, in-person or online 30-minute consultation. This session will include a one-on-one conversation with the student, identifying interests, strengths, weaknesses, learning goals, learning style and future prospects (if any).

It will also include a one-on-one conversation with parent/guardians regarding what they are looking for and how tutoring sessions will operate.
The K+ Tutoring parent and child agreement and use of the Teachworks platform will also be explained.

Phase 2

K+ Tutoring will match the student to their own personal tutor based on the consultation. Matching will be based on common interests, required subject areas, and availability.

Phase 3

If there is a match available, parents/guardians will get sent an email with the profile of their new tutor. Then the first, online or in-person session with their tutor will be scheduled.

Phase 4

The first session will involve the tutor introducing themselves to the student and parent/guardian, understanding any areas of focus, and organising an appropriate time for weekly sessions.

After the first session, K+ Tutoring will send a feedback survey to the parent/student and tutor to determine whether it was a good match.

If all parties are happy to progress, weekly face-to-face sessions will continue.

Phase 5

Parents/guardians may also choose their preferred payment plan (PayG or 10-hour package) and will get access to the K+ Tutoring Teachworks platform. Tutorial videos for this platform will be provided.

If there are any concerns raised, by either K+ Tutoring, the tutor, the student or the parent/guardians about the tutor/student match, the pair will be immediately re-evaluated.

Phase 6

If the tutor/student pair proves to be a successful arrangement for all parties, their student will commence their weekly, in-person, one-on-one sessions with your tutor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. You will be emailed a copy of your tutor's profile prior to the first session. In your first session, your K+ Tutor will introduce themselves. Then they will work on getting to know your child's strengths and areas of improvement so they can tailor their sessions accordingly.

If you are unhappy or have any issues with your tutor or the tuition service at any point, your main point of contact will be K+ tutoring email at [email protected]. K+ tutoring will also contact on at least a term basis to keep in touch and discuss your child’s progress.

To schedule, cancel or reschedule a session, for any reason, you must contact your tutor. You will work with your tutor to negotiate and reschedule a new session time that suits both of you.

K+ Tutoring offers sessions online, in public spaces like libraries and community centres as well as in the comfort of your own home.

If you are requiring help with a subject that your current tutor is not able to assist with, contact K+ Tutoring and we will arrange a new tutor who does specialise in the subject to come and work with you.
