Students and tutors alike will be encouraged to have a growth mindset, which involves believing that intelligence and talent can be improved through effort and actions.
We aim to transform students and tutors into lifelong learners, as their pursuit of knowledge for either personal or professional reasons, is ongoing, self-motivated and voluntary.
We aim to address feelings of incompetence and replace them with perseverance, motivation and genuine enjoyment for subjects.

Work Ethic
Work Ethic
Students and tutors will be supported to maintain a strong work ethic and motivation towards learning.
Proactivity will be encouraged, including students sending tutors work prior and tutors preparing for sessions, leading to a transformation of achievement.
The development of homework and consistent revision habits will be encouraged to consolidate understanding and promote memory.
Our pedagogy to inspire work ethic is establishing high expectation relationships between students and tutors, including introducing complex tasks, providing constructive feedback and clarifying expectations.

We have a focus on improving internal subject results, standardised test results (including NAPLAN and ICAS), and external assessment results.
However, our belief is that success is not just measured by grades but by achieving outcomes of mindset and work ethic.
Pedagogies that we use to measure success, apart from academic achievements, include a checklist of learning outcomes which includes values like confidence, creativity, innovation, lifelong learning, responsibility, and becoming active and informed citizens.
